Charlotte, NC trio Mindvac descended into drummer Garrett Herzfeld's basement to record their debut self-
titled EP, feet away from a former tenant's inexplicable human-sized cage. The presence of whatever was kept
in there imbues the 6-track blend of post-hardcore, metal, and prog, but the helix of sounds created in that space is most certainly something altogether new.
